zsh
also known as: Z shell
zsh — Another common shell, very similar to bash. The default on modern macOS.
If you're on a recent Mac and wondering why your terminal doesn't quite behave like the bash guide says, zsh is probably why. For most everyday commands, the difference doesn't matter.
